Adoration Suspended

March 23, 2020

Dear Saint Jude Family,

As we continue to make our way in this uncertain time, I have made the difficult decision to suspend Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at Saint Jude until further notice.  This decision was not made lightly; as you know I am a firm believer in the power of Adoration.

However, because numbers in the church are starting to increase even though health officials plead for us to stay home, we will discontinue Adoration as of 6:00 pm Monday, March 23. I want you to know how proud I am of our parish and the number of you who have made Adoration a part of your life these past few years.

I encourage you to continue your hour of prayer each week from your home. Consider setting up an “Adoration” space in your home. Light a candle or find a quiet space and continue to spend your special hour with Christ, who knows full well the sacrifices we are all making right now for the greater good of society.

While our doors will be open, I ask that you please make every effort to pray at home instead of coming to the church.

We will make it through this. And when we do, we will come back together as the Body of Christ stronger than ever before.

May God Bless you,
Monsignor Joe Corbett
