GRACE Scholars is a Georgia nonprofit corporation and tax exempt charity (501-c-3 organization). GRACE has met the requirements for designation as a Student Scholarship Organization (SSO) in Georgia. Because GRACE is an SSO, Georgia taxpayers can contribute to GRACE in exchange for a generous tax benefit created by the Georgia legislature – a 100 percent tax credit. Preregistration for 2022 is now open.

Our speaker will be parishioner Dr. Ericka Stricklin-Parker, a psychologist in private practice who has been working in the behavioral health field for over 25 years. Our Saint Jude School, a twice recognized Blue Ribbon School for grades Kindergarten – 8th ,will hold an Open House on Sunday, October 17 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. This is an opportunity for families who will be applying for the 2022-23 school year to step inside the classrooms, meet our school administrators, and learn more about the application process. Reservations are required and space is limited. Please sign up for a timeslot by October 15, 2021.
Respect Life Month is celebrated throughout October. This year the theme is St. Joseph : Faithful Protector of Mother and Child. It is an opportunity to promote the dignity of all human life and work toward protecting the most vulnerable in our society.
This fall, the Supreme Court of the United States will hear their most significant abortion-related case in decades, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Please join the Respect Life ministry on Tuesday, October 19 at 7:00 pm in the Ministry Hall to hear Frank Mulcahy, Executive Director of the Georgia Catholic Conference of the Archdiocese of Atlanta and the Diocese of Savannah, speak on the context and significance of this prospective legislation, as well the status of the Hyde Amendment and abortion laws in the state of Georgia.
Our Knights Assembly is funding 500+ wreaths to be placed at veterans’ headstones at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton on Saturday, December 18. Please consider purchasing a wreath to honor our fallen veterans. Volunteers also needed to help lay wreaths.
