Anointing of the Sick – Friday, October 7

The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be celebrated during the 12:00 pm Mass on Friday, September 2. All who are sick or suffering are invited to receive the anointing. The Sacrament is administered on the first Friday of the month during the 12:00 pm Mass, the 7:30 pm First Friday Mass in Portuguese and Spanish, or by appointment with a priest at any time

 

First Saturday Devotion – Saturday, October 1

Join us for the First Saturday Devotion on October 1. We meet at the Tabernacle after the 8:30 am Daily Mass for the rosary and meditation.

This devotion consists of attending Mass, receiving Holy Communion, going to Confession, praying the rosary, and meditating on the mysteries of the rosary for at least 15 minutes on each first Saturday for five consecutive months with the intention of making reparation for blasphemies committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

GRACE Scholars – Preregister for Your Tax Benefit or Apply for a Scholarship

GRACE Scholars is a Georgia nonprofit corporation and tax-exempt charity (501-c-3 organization). GRACE has met the requirements for designation as a Student Scholarship Organization (SSO) in Georgia. Because GRACE is an SSO, Georgia taxpayers can contribute to GRACE in exchange for a generous tax benefit created by the Georgia legislature – a 100 percent tax credit. Preregistration for 2023 is now open.

Saint Teresa’s Circle Kickoff Cookout – Friday, September 30

Saint Teresa’s Circle is our ministry for mothers with young children.  Please join us for our first event of the year- a Kickoff Family Cookout in the Life Teen Room and Patio on Friday, September 30 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.  Come meet other families with young children, learn about our plans for the year, and enjoy food and fellowship! RSVP requested.

 

Men’s Club Dinner and Speaker – Thursday, September 29

All men of the parish are invited to our Men’s Club meeting on Thursday, September 29 at 6:30 pm in the Ministry Hall. Our guest speaker is Fr. Paul Nacey who will speak on “The Call to Fatherhood”. We will also review our calendar and discuss opportunities for you to get involved. We are not charging for dinner but ask that you consider a donation to help defray our costs. Please RSVP so we have an accurate count for food and drink.

 

Elijah Cup Program Returns – Pray for Vocations

Our Elijah Cup program is returning the weekend of September 10-11. Take home the Elijah Cup and pray for vocations. Special Movie Showing – Mother Teresa: No Greater Love

Mother Teresa: No Greater Love, a new documentary produced by the Knights of Columbus tells the inspirational story of one of the world’s most revered saints, Mother Teresa of Calcutta. This movie reveals not just who Mother Teresa was, but how her singular vision to serve Christ in the poor continues to be realized today through the religious order she founded, the Missionaries of Charity.
