Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is an Archdiocesan approved faith formation program that uses a Montessori approach for children 3-year-old – 7th grade. Children meet in a permanent prepared environment called an “atrium” and discover their faith through Scripture and Liturgy. Classes are made up of mixed age groups according to the child’s needs:

Level I for 3 to 6-year-olds (Level 1 and II at 9:40-11:10 Sundays is FULL) Email Siobhan Finnegan to be added to a waiting list.
Level II for 6 to 9-year-olds
Level III for 9 to 13-year-olds

Classes are held in the D’Youville Center on Sundays from 9:40 am – 11:10 am (all levels); Sundays 11:20 – 12:50 pm (Levels I and II only); and Tuesdays from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm (all levels).

Children receiving their Sacraments prepare through the study of the moral parables, the extended discovery of the Eucharist, and through special retreats.
