Interfaith Outreach Home (IOH) serves working families in financial crisis by providing safe, affordable housing and support resources in an atmosphere emphasizing dignity, respect, accountability and long-term change. Families that are compliant with the program can live at IOH for up to two years while they pay off debt, repair credit, save, and strengthen family relationships.
The facility houses ten private apartments so families can live together regardless of age or gender. The goal is for families to remain intact, free from government assistance and maintain private housing upon graduation. Using a formula of safe housing + critical resources + time, IOH proves that formerly homeless families can achieve financial independence. Visit the IOH website for further information regarding the organization’s mission.
What does the St. Jude IOH Ministry do? We focus on 'families serving families'. By joining this ministry, parishioners agree to receive emails regarding upcoming group service projects which include cleaning or painting vacated apartments, grounds maintenance, community dinners, and fundraising efforts. The IOH ministry welcomes and encourages involvement from the whole family. For more information or to serve, contact the Interfaith Outreach Home Ministry.
