Pope Francis Encouraging Praying of the Rosary in May

Pope Francis is encouraging the faithful to pray the rosary during the month of May for an end to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The month of May is a time Catholics traditionally express, with particular intensity, their love and devotion for the Blessed Virgin Mary. He suggests praying the Rosary either in a group or individually.

Pope Francis has also published new prayers that include specific intentions for those who are sick, for those who care for them, for those who have died and those who mourn for them, for scientists seeking cures and vaccines, and for government leaders who must find a way to protect their people. Learn more about Pope Francis’ request and see the prayers here.

The Knights of Columbus is live streaming a daily Rosary from the Saint John Paul II National Shrine during the month of May at 8:00 pm.
