Each year, our Knights of Columbus Council sponsors a spring Food for Families drive for the Community Assistance Center (CAC) in Sandy Springs. CAC routinely faces food shortages during the summer months. Children who receive free or subsidized meals at school are home for the summer and don’t have access to these meals. That’s where the CAC comes in – needy families rely on them to provide food over the summer months. This year, we will once again support CAC through monetary donations that will be used to purchase food. Funds raised will be used by CAC to purchase food items from the Atlanta Area Food Bank. Every dollar donated enables CAC to purchase up to 3 pounds of much-needed food.
