Congratulations to our Saint Jude Woman and Saint Jude Youth of the Year!
The “Woman and Youth of the Year” awards are sponsored by theAtlanta Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women. Each year parishes areencouraged to nominate a candidate for each of these awards. The recipients will be presented their awards by Archbishop Gregory at a special Mass this year held at St. Brigid Catholic Church on April 16 at 10:00 am.
Saint Jude is proud to present our “Woman of the Year” award to Stephanie Tramonte!
An active member of Saint Jude for 27 years, Stephanie and her husband, Reverend Deacon Jim Tramonte, have been married for 44 years and have five children, all of whom attended Saint Jude School.They are now blessed with 14 grandchildren, soon to be 15!
Stephanie has served in many roles during her time atSaint Jude, including president of St. Teresa’s Circle, Women of St. Jude Board, Total Board of Education committee member, RCIA sponsor, as well as engaged couple sponsor which led Stephanie and Jim to develop the Saint Jude Marriage Ministry in 2010.
One of Stephanie’s biggest contributions to Saint Jude, however, started back in 2009 when she served on the Discipleship Committee that spent countless hours working to bring Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) to Saint Jude. After serving on the initial presenting team for CRHP 1, Stephanie served as Spiritual Director for CRHP 2. She now continues to develop our CRHP program by serving on the CRHP Continuation Committee. In speaking of CRHP, Stephanie says “It has been a blessing to witness the spiritual fruit that CRHP has brought to our parish.”
Saint Jude is proud to present our “Youth of the Year” award to Emma Kernan!
Daughter of Stephen and Dawn Kernan, Emma is the fourth of six children. She is currently a senior with Seton Home Study School. Emma’s future plans involve attending either Emory or Kennesaw State University to study physical therapy while also pursuing a professional racquetball career. Emma is currently ranked 16th in the state of Georgia and 12th nationally for junior 16 and under racquetball.
Emma has been an active Master Server at Saint Jude, as well as a member of the Life Teen Band. She enjoys the retreats that Life Teen has offered, especially attending Steubenville Atlanta each year.
