Seven Last Words of Christ

Good Friday, 12:00
Noon – 1:45 pm

On Good Friday, we relive Christ’s last words with this powerful tradition. Seven of our parishioners and clergy will give a reflection on each of the “words” or phrases Christ spoke as he was on the cross. Together with scripture readings, music, and personal prayer time, this service will transform your Lenten experience.

Reflections for 2024

Deacon Joel Ballantyne, First Word
“Father, forgive them, they know not what they do.”

Fr. Paul Nacey, Second Word
“Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

Mary Pat Davis , Third Word
“Woman, behold your son.”

Matt Jardina, Fourth Word
My God, My God why have you forsaken me?”

 Jen Guynn, Fifth Word
“I thirst”

Eileen Gieselman, Sixth Word
“It is finished”

 Ron Mazurek, Seventh Word
“Father, into your hands I commend my spirit”
