Testimonials

John and Katy Asip, General Chairs

The commitment and generosity of parishioners over the years reflect the beautiful faith that is continually nurtured at Saint Jude. We are so grateful to those who founded our parish and created not only a place of worship, but a community, a home, a place of spiritual growth, and a firm foundation. We love this place, and we know it will continue to serve as “home” to so many in years to come.

Jay and Melissa Cochran, General Chairs

We are extremely grateful that Saint Jude has been part of our lives for over 25 years.  The community has shaped us and supported us in so many ways, especially while raising our three children with no family in GA.  The friends we have made through the various events, groups, bible studies, volunteer roles, activities, sports, and schools have been instrumental in our lives.  We have made so many memories and spiritual milestones here, from wedding preparation to our children’s sacraments, and even Jay’s confirmation as an adult.  We are excited for our growing and thriving parish to experience all that Saint Jude has to offer for decades to come, and are honored to serve on a campaign for our spiritual home.

Chris and Tracy Giglio, General Chairs

It is an honor to serve as General Campaign Chairs for our parish, Saint Jude the Apostle. We have been parishioners at six parishes over our 35 years of marriage. Though we enjoyed all of them, Saint Jude has been instrumental in facilitating our spiritual journey. We have been able to serve others by participating in the many ministries available to Saint Jude parishioners. These experiences have allowed us to share our gifts with others as God intends us to do. Faith without good works is not the Catholic path Jesus intended for us. We prayerfully considered our financial commitment to the capital campaign and embraced this financial sacrifice to build a home where many can share and practice their faith comfortably. We travel often, and finding a church, regardless of location, to practice our faith is a blessing we cannot put into words. We appreciate those who contributed to making each Catholic Church we visit available to all. Now, it is our turn.

Brian and Holly Monaghan, General Chairs

We did not hesitate when asked to help with our parish’s Capital Campaign. Saint Jude has been our spiritual home for more than 18 years. We have strengthened our faith and made lifelong friendships within the parish community. Our children have thrived in this environment, and we are forever grateful. We’ve experienced firsthand how this parish truly looks after one another. We are committed to helping Saint Jude grow so that future generations may experience all of the outstanding benefits of being a part of our faith-filled community.

Mark and Natalie Uebelacker, Honorary Chairs

We cannot think of a better place to share our time, talent, and treasure.  What we have invested in Saint Jude over the past 23 years has blessed our family tenfold.  Saint Jude has helped build a spiritual foundation for our children and continues to renew our faith, hope, and love as a family.  We are so excited to support Saint Jude as it builds on the work of our founders to create an even better future for the next generation.

Molly Dean, Principal, Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic School

Our mission at Saint Jude School is to nurture the formation of saints and scholars. An updated church will be such a gift to our students—a beautiful, welcoming space where they can pray, worship, and deepen their faith. We’re also excited about the new multipurpose Parish Life Center, which will give us a wonderful place for school events, performances, and celebrations. This campaign is an exciting chapter for our whole parish family, and we’re so grateful to be part of it.

Fr. Thiago Gomes, Parochial Vicar/Chaplain to the Atlanta Brazilian Community

Saint Jude is more than a church—it’s our home! It has embraced our Brazilian community from the very beginning and has always opened its doors to people from every background—Americans, Hispanics, and many others seeking a place to belong. Since I arrived, one thing has been clear: our parish is alive and growing. But with that growth comes a challenge. Scheduling meetings or events is often difficult—not because of a lack of passion or participation, but because our ministries are flourishing, and we simply don’t have enough space. This is a beautiful problem to have. It means we are thriving. And now, it’s time for us to respond with gratitude, with faith, and with generosity. We are one family. And when a family grows, everyone comes together to build the future. Let’s build our future together!
