The Seven Sisters Apostolate has a mission “to strengthen the Church by ensuring that a Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of a specific priest and his role within the parish.”
Here is how it works: a core group of 21 women each takes a specific day of the week to pray for each of our three priests in our parish.
Ideally, this Holy Hour is prayed in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament at our church; however, it can be prayed in any Catholic church and can be prayed at any time on her day. The commitment is for one year.
Because the title of this ministry is “Seven Sisters Apostolate”, the 21 core members of each group will be women; however, men or women can serve as a substitute! We currently have about 10 subs. This Apostolate was started in Minneapolis and has many parishes participating.
