Council Level Free Throw Competition
DATE: Sunday, February 15, 2026
LOCATION: Saint Jude Gym
TIME: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. Older teen volunteers are needed for this event (SERVICE HOURS MAY APPLY). For more information or to volunteer, please contact Bryan Kler at Knights@judeatl.com or 404-944-6629.
Walk up, Sign in, Warm up, and Shoot. No preregistration. Each contestant shoots 15 consecutive Free Throw attempts followed by 10 Tie Breakers. Then you’re done. The results will be tabulated, and participants will be emailed the results. Top winners of each age bracket and gender will move to the District Level on Sunday, March 1st at Saint Jude and District winners will then go to the State Finals on Saturday, March 28th at Cathedral of Christ the King.

RULES
Ages 9, 10, 11 (Boys & Girls Competitions) Use a women’s regulation-size basketball and shoot from a 12-foot foul line at a 10-foot-high basket. (NOTE: The normal foul line is 15 feet from the basket.)
Ages 12, 13, 14 (Girls Competitions) Use a women’s regulation-size basketball and shoot from the regulation foul line 15 feet from a 10-foot-high basket.
Ages 12, 13, 14 (Boys Competitions) Use a men’s regulation-size basketball and shoot from the regulation foul line 15 feet from a 10-foot-high basket.
