Creation Care Team: Caring for God’s People and Planet – Monday, March 31
Did you know that Pope Francis wrote a letter to everyone in the world, asking us to improve the way we care for God’s People and Planet? Join us as Brian Savoie, Sustainability Program Coordinator for the Archdiocese, discusses the Laudato Si encyclical and the Atlanta Laudato Si initiative and action plan.
The Archdiocesan Laudato Si Initiative (LSI) establishes cohorts of schools and parishes interested in considering sustainability in ten different areas of creation care, including energy conservation, water conservation and waste reduction.
Our parish has joined the cohort and is working on energy, water and waste audits on campus buildings. This work will provide a benchmark and map for future plans. We would like to assemble a parish Creation Care Team that will play a vital role, representing our parishioners and having a voice in future planning. Pray with Us at Respect Life Holy Hour – Mondays, 1:00 pm
Our Respect Life Ministry leads a weekly Adoration Holy Hour for Life from 1:00 – 2:00 pm in the Adoration Chapel. The hour begins with a Rosary for Life, followed by quiet prayer. Please join us each week as your schedule allows.
First Friday Rosary – May 2
Come pray the Rosary with us on the first Friday of every month in the Church. As John Paul II explained, “…our heart can embrace in the decades of the Rosary all the events that make up the lives of individuals, families, nations, the Church, and all mankind. Our personal concerns and those of our neighbour, especially those who are closest to us, who are dearest to us” (RVM, 2).
