The Life Teen Core Team is a group of adults (21 and up) in the parish who wish to help lead our high school youth closer to Christ through creating welcoming environments, forming an intentional relationship, and journeying with them in their relationship with Christ. We have recognized the importance of ministry not only to teens but also to those guiding them!
The Core Team gives the adult community, especially parents, a broader understanding of the Life Teen program and how it works. At the same time, it develops the adults spiritually and fosters good Christian friendships.
Life Teen Core Responsibilities
-Continually grow in their own relationship with God and maintain a daily prayer life
-Provide a lived witness of a Christian lifestyle in and outside of Life Teen events
-Meet and build relationships with teens attending Life Teen
-Facilitate and participate in activities and games
-Assist the youth minister in planning 2-3 life nights per semester
-Attend monthly core meetings to plan upcoming life nights
-Co-lead small group discussions based on the night’s theme w/ an upperclassmen teen leader
-Lead small group prayer
-Help clean up and attend our post Life Teen debrief on Sunday’s
-Prepare for Sunday night events by reading and following up on Life Teen emails and communications
-Maintain an openness to other opportunities as presented (i.e. giving testimony or messages, helping staff LT retreats and trips, attending teen sporting and performance events, etc.)
Life Teen Core Time Commitments
-Weekly attendance at Life Teen during the school year
-Life Teen Core Meetings monthly
-Core retreat or training once a year
-At least one retreat or trip a year
Core Application Process

STEP 2
After your application is processed, you will be contacted by our Youth Minister to set up a time to meet!
STEP 3
Upon acceptance, you will need to complete the Archdiocesan Volunteer Application and attend a Virtus Safe Environment Training session. All details will be emailed to you once you have been accepted into the program.
