Martha is the mother of four adult children, including Michele Benzinger, host of the Abiding Together podcast. A convert to the Catholic faith, she has served the Church is many roles over the years, as a regional manager for Catholic Relief services, coordinator of Franciscan University youth conferences, director of faith formation for Mustard Seed communities, and campus minister and teacher for St Pius Catholic High School. Martha holds a degree from Auburn University in English, a Master of Religious Education from Loyola University, and a degree in Spiritual Direction from Spring Hill College.
