Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a form of religious education that emphasizes the cultivation of a relationship between the child and Jesus, the Good Shepherd. Using scripture and sensorial materials, children are guided by specially trained catechists in a prepared environment called The Atrium, through lessons that allow them to encounter and reflect on their relationship with Jesus. For more information about Catechesis of the Good Shepherd please click here.
Catechist Training:
We are fortunate to have a dedicated Atrium space at Saint Jude the Apostle, however, we are in need of individuals who are trained, or in training as catechists in order to keep our program robust and continue to grow.
A Level 1 training will be offered beginning February 14, 2026 at Saint Ann Catholic Church in Marietta, GA. Registration deadline is January 21, 2026 and can be completed HERE
If you are already trained in Level 1, and are interested in training for Level 2, a training will be offered beginning January 23, 2026 at Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Alpharetta, GA. Registration deadline is January 5, 2026 and can be completed HERE
