Each October the Church in the United States celebrates Respect Life Month, and the first Sunday of October is observed as Respect Life Sunday. As Catholics, we are called to cherish, defend, and protect those who are most vulnerable, from the beginning of life to its end, and at every point in between. During the month of October, the Church asks us to reflect more deeply on the dignity of every human life. This year’s theme is Called to Serve Moms in Need. In this post-Roe world, as Catholics, we focus on our call to serve mothers in all stages of parenthood. Our Respect Life Ministry participates in a number of activities during this time. We invite you to join us for one or all of the following:
Adoration Holy Hour for Life – Mondays
Our Respect Life Ministry leads a weekly Adoration Holy Hour for Life from 1:00 – 2:00 pm in the Church. The hour begins with a Rosary for Life, followed by quiet prayer. Learn more here.
Walking with Moms in Need
Walking With Moms in Need (WWMIN) is a new ministry launched by the USCCB that enables us to walk with pregnant or parenting moms in need and puts into practice our pro-life beliefs of supporting women who choose life. Our ministry activities include hosting baby showers, helping moms move or furnish living space, providing meals, groceries, gift cards, or clothing, and offering emotional and spiritual support through relationship building.

40 Days for Life
40 Days for Life is an internationally coordinated 40-day campaign that aims to end abortion locally through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and peaceful all-day vigil in front of abortion businesses. This year’s event began on Wednesday, September 23 and continues through Sunday, October 31. Learn more about the 40 Days for Life Campaign here.
Sidewalks Save
Please join us for peaceful prayer presence and sidewalk counseling outside Atlanta Women’s Center at 235 West Wieuca Rd. at the following times: Tuesdays 9:00 am – 1:00 pm and Wednesday through Fridays from 8:00 – 11:00 am. The center is offering chemical abortions and sending later term pregnancies to out-of-state clinics. Learn more and sign up here.
