Walking With Moms in Need (WWMIN) is a service ministry in which Catholic parishes assist and support local pregnant and parenting women in need. It is a nationwide effort inspired by St. John Paul II’s call to assess our efforts in building a culture of life. The intention of WWMIN at Saint Jude is to guide mothers facing challenging pregnancies and those parenting young children in need, towards services and resources available and to welcome and surround them with our love.

Did you know childcare costs $1300-$2,000 a month for one infant?  Most moms do not qualify for the Georgia childcare assistance program.  WWMIN helps with childcare assistance and other bills when it’s in the best interest of the child and helps the mom plan for a successful future.  Our latest mom in need delivered a beautiful baby boy two months prematurely. She makes just enough money as a Certified Nursing Assistant to cover her bills without childcare costs. She makes too much money to qualify for Georgia childcare assistance, but not enough to cover her childcare expenses and her other bills. Saint Jude WWMIN is assisting this mom to help her determine how to reduce her expenses, increase her income, and determine a way to co-parent with the baby’s father in the best interest of the child.

Some ways to get involved:

  • Join a “Care Team”
  • Donate clothing and gently used baby items
  • Provide occasional meals or food cards
  • Host a baby shower
  • Lead a special project designed to help our moms create community and learn life skills

To get involved fill out the form below or contact our WWMIN ministry.

Any amount helps moms in need!
