Dr. Quentin L. Van Meter Discusses Transgender Patient Care

Dr. Van Meter will discuss the subject of transgender patients from an historical perspective looking at the approach to patient care in the past and also the present with a perspective of what is actually scientific evidence and how that works well with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Bio:

  • Board Certified pediatric endocrinologist in private practice in Atlanta, Georgia since 1991
  • Former Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine and Morehouse College of Medicine
  • A Principle Investigator in the ABBVIE study on long-acting puberty blockers used in children with precocious puberty
  • Trained at Johns Hopkins 1978 – 1980 during the time of Professor John Money
  • Has followed the chronology of the transgender movement in the US since its inception and has been an invited speaker on the subject of the damage done to children with the affirmation pathway. Has given talks in the UK, Australia, Hungary, and across the United States.  Provided legal expert testimony in Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, California, Georgia, Alabama, Missouri, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and in British Columbia and Ontario.
